Hello everyone. We just want to give the latest update on everything going on at the office. We are both happy and sad to announce that today, September 15th, is going to be the final day at our office at 12500 Harlem Avenue. We have spent 22 years there and have met many wonderful people who have become our patients and friends. We have so many great memories and are sad to see the end of the line at this location. But, we are equally excited to move on to our new location at 7400 West College Drive, which is only a few minutes away and still in Palos Heights.
We are writing to to let everyone know that after our last patient today, we will disconnect the computers to move them to the new location for the computer network to be installed next week. As our office is all computerized, we won’t be able to access patient information, take X-rays, or even make appointments until the network is functional. We will also be disconnecting and moving all of our equipment and transporting supplies all week. In order to get this done, we will be closed for the week. Our phone system is already installed at the new office, but as we move, we may not be able to answer phones, and as I said, we will not have access to our system to make appointments until the computer network is installed and functioning. If you call and we don’t answer, please leave us a message and we will try to check them periodically. If there is an urgent need, we will try to get back to you as quickly as possible to find a solution. We hope everything will go smoothly, but we expect some bumps in the road. Please bear with us during this period as we move on to this next chapter.
We will be giving another update sometime in the coming week. We will share photos of the new exterior to help everyone find the office, but right now our name is not yet on the office or the sign by the entry from College Drive. We want to avoid confusion, so for now, we will hold off on attaching photos. Our signage has been on order for a few weeks now and we don’t know when it will be installed. We are hoping it will come next week so we can take photos with the new signs up. Like so many things these days, we are dealing with unavoidable delays in various aspects of the process, including signage.
Our phone number will remain the same, as will our email address and website. We will try to update all of the online listings, such as the Google listings, as fast as we can, but these also take some time to update and verify on the web servers. We don’t want to make those changes until it is official, and after today, it will be official. We look forward to seeing you and showing you around the new office. And you will LOVE the amount of parking compared to our current location. Thank you for your patience and you will hear from us soon.
