While this year has really been tough on everyone with the Corona Virus changing almost everything about our daily lives, we think there is still a lot to be happy about. Through all of the craziness of this pandemic, we are all still lucky enough to be living in the greatest country in the world. No, it isn’t perfect, but it is still the best country to call home. While the isolation, social distancing, and mask wearing has been frustrating, we hope this can eventually be a thing of the past. I’m optimistic that the scientists will find a vaccination and we can move on past this pandemic. There will be a new awareness about germs that will linger, and that is not a bad thing, but hopefully we will return to concerts, and festivals, and my favorite, sporting events, very soon.
The frustration is real, but for this Fourth of July, remember that being an American is something to smile about. As Americans there is great reason to have optimism that we will get through this. This country was founded by strong leaders that set forth guidelines to carry us well into the future. This pandemic is just a bump in the road and we will get through this together. There hasn’t been a lot to smile about, but today, smile because it is the Fourth of July and we are Americans.
